L’Association des francophones de Nanaimo (AFN) is easy to find. By car simply drive on Bowen road and south of Meredith dr. you will see the «Bowen Center». There aim to the far right corner and you will see us. By bus it is on the #40 line (VIU) at the James stop, almost in front of «Recall» pharmacy.

Reception

When you step inside you will be facing the classroom with it’s white board, television monitor, chairs and tables. Immediately on the right wall will be most of our french books, this is the library with it’s cosy corner. On the far left corner is Catharine’s desk, the AFN executive Director. There is also another desk on the right corner which is used by the other staff members or volunteers.

Secretariat

A large smile from a more than knowledgeable Catharine is what you encounter walking in the office. Catharine has been with the association for many years and knows all is needed to answer questions.

​And of course you may meet some of the AFN members there while performing volunteer’s tasks or just hanging around. It is than your chance to learn much more about us.

Every aspect of a normal functioning office are available to L’AFN members including translation and support. Computers linked to Internet are also available.
